M. Malone is a RITA® Award winner and a NYT, USA Today million+ book bestselling author. She lives with her husband and their two sons in the picturesque mountains of Northern Virginia even though she is afraid of insects, birds, butterflies and other humans. Since starting her indie publishing journey in 2011, she has sold over a million books and her titles have hit the NYT and USA Today bestseller lists more than a dozen times. She also holds a Master’s degree in Business from a prestigious college that would no doubt be scandalized at how she’s using her expensive education.

Hi guys!

Everyone says you’re supposed to have an ‘About Me’ page but I never know what to say in a bio. How do I explain in a few sentences who I am? Since that seems impossible, I suppose I’ll start with who I am NOT.

I am NOT the diva type. I’m usually wearing a faded college T-shirt with Wonder Woman leggings.

I am NOT the girl with the fancy makeup. The one time I managed to get false eyelashes on, it looked like I’d been attacked by an exotic bird.

 

What I am is unexpectedly snarky, unapologetically nerdy and fiercely loyal to my friends. I love dramatic opera music, staid old men wearing suspenders, claw-foot bathtubs and unexpected surprises. I squeak when I sneeze, am helplessly ticklish and most important, I’m happy exactly as I am.

Other than that, I love to read, binge-watch shows on Netflix, play around with graphic design and of course, WRITE. I adore the fact that I get to make up stuff for a living.
